Y2.  Yi Sun-shin - Help Us To Win

Admiral Yi Sun-Shin, always conditioned under the adverse situation, used to pray

to the heaven for the victories of  battles before going out to the war battlefield.

Viewed frontally, his head and eyes look slightly up to the sky in the gesture

of pleading to the heaven for the victory. His expressive face, monumental pose, and battlefield background emphasize the imminent tough battle.

His imploring expression of the eyes and face of the desperate Admiral is accentuated together with the gesture of the both hands grasping his sword.

The crossing light on him enhances the mood of the various troubled thoughts 

which emanates from  the figure dressed in the thick and heavy metal armor.

The strong light which falls and illuminates on his face reveals the thickness of

sculptural expressiveness.
